Ruby Breedlove Green, 83, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at her home in Brandon, Mississippi. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 18 at 11 a.m. in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Hill officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service in Memorial Cemetery.
Ruby was born May 3, 1942, to Andrew Jackson Breedlove and Bessie Kitchens Breedlove in Neshoba County, Mississippi. Until her health prevented her from participating, she attended River of Life Church in Louisville. After moving to Brandon, she attended Brighter Days Adult Day Care where she enjoyed the activities and fellowship with everyone.
Ruby is survived by her son, Glen (Brenda) Green, Jr., of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; and two daughters, Sheri (Robert) Rogers of Louisville; and Angie (Chris) Randall of Brandon, Mississippi. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny or Grandma” to her five grandchildren: Nathan Barnett, Krystal (Kevin) Baugh, Michael Green, Matt Brune (Catherine Newton), and Rachel Brune (Brad Hutchison); as well as her six great-grandchildren: Addison Green, Payton Green, Wes Bishop, Alyn Bishop, Troy Hallmark, and Rowan Brune. She is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Master Sargeant Glentis Wayne Green, Sr.; her granddaughter, Angel Marie Barnett; her parents, Andrew and Bessie Breedlove; two sisters, Ada Lee Moody and Lucille Edwards; and two brothers, Rudolph Breedlove and David Breedlove.
Serving as pallbearers are Matt Brune, Chris Randall, Glen Green, Robert Rogers, Wes Bishop, Brad Hutchison, and Kevin Baugh. Memorials in honor of Ruby may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association online at brightfocus.org.
