Long time Louisville resident Melba Bruce Gammill passed away early Sunday morning, June 28, 2015 at Bickford Cottages in Portage, MI. Her son Ronnie was by her side and holding her hand as her 93 years came to a peaceful end. Mrs. Gammill was born on March 29, 1922, in Choctaw County Mississippi to Lee Boyce and Clara Reid Bruce. She graduated from Mathiston High School and Wood Junior College. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Louisville, MS for 68 years.

Sally Ann Kirk, 75, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. A private memorial service will be held at a later time.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Earl Kirk, Sr.; her daughter, Julie Kirk; and sons, Edward Kirk and wife, Selena; and Earl “Randy” Kirk, Jr., and wife, Sandra. Sally is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Marjares and husband, Manuel; and Betty Quillen. Mrs. Kirk has eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ricky Kirk; two brothers, Jerry Palmer and Lawrence “Larry” Palmer, Jr., and her sister, Nancy Brown. Born in 1932, he was the husband of Bonnie Bouchillon, both growing up in Winston County, Mississippi. Raised in the Ellison Ridge community of Winston County, he was the son of the late Casey Hamlet and Ophelia Ferguson, and loving brother to his sisters, Roma Green, Geraldine (Gerri) Gardner, Grace Marrs, and Margaret Tubbs.
