Jerry L. Donald, Jr.
Jerry Lavaughn Donald, Jr., 43, beloved and devoted husband, father and son passed away on March 29, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Danielle Clark Donald and daughter, Sophia Ryan Donald. He also leaves behind his parents, Jerry and Jeanette Donald; two sisters, Cynthia Nowell (Hal) and Deborah Johnson (Pete); all from Louisville, Mississippi. Jerry was born May 13, 1970 in Louisville, Mississippi. He married Danielle Clark on July 17, 2004 in Laguna Beach, California. He was a medical device sales representative for transcatheter heart valves with Edwards Lifesciences.
Jerry was a strong man who exuded kindness and found great joy in making the people around him happy. He maintained a positive attitude through any challenges placed before him, creating an aura of contentment that put everyone at ease. Jerry enjoyed life on every level. He created a beautful life with Danielle and Sophia, both of whom he adored. Sophia was the light of his life. He was the greatest “girl daddy” and cherished every precious moment with her.
A celebration service will be held on Tuesday, April 1st at 11:00am in the Wilson Chapel at Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. A visitation will be held from 12:00pm – 2:30pm with funeral services to follow at 3pm on Wednesday, April 2nd at First Baptist Church, 205 South Church Street in Louisville, Mississippi.
In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorials be sent to the Hutchinson Annual Fund or the Wounded Warrior Project.

He was a retired electrical superintendent for Georgia Pacific, a member of First United Methodist Church, and a Veteran of The U.S. Army serving in The Korean Conflict. Mr. Gully was also a retired Chairman of the Louisville Utility Board. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Gully; his parents, Ludie Fulton and John Gully; and two brothers, John Henry Gully and Jimmy Gully.
Mr. Gully is survived by his daughters, Janet (Jim) House of Jackson, MS and Beth (Barton) Wynn of Tupelo, MS; his son, Brooks (Melanie) Gully of Starkville, MS; one sister, Jaynne Perkins of Brandon, MS; one brother, J.W. Gully of Houston, TX; and 8 Grandchildren, Laura, Bob, and Helen House; Chase, Daniel (Virginia), and Kathryn Wynn; Anna Rives and Audrey Gully. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Palmer was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Philadelphia, and formerly a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Louisville. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bertha Lee Myers and Theron Pierce Palmer; and two sisters, Louise Gregory and Melba Ball.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Ollie Jane Chancellor Palmer; his son, Noel Travis (Ramona) Palmer, Jr.; and his daughter, Nancy Diana Palmer, all of Philadelphia, MS; grandchildren, Jessica Swindle, Heather Parker, Matt Permenter, and Jessica Graham; great grandchildren, Dylan, Bryant, Macie, Noah, John, and Chad; one sister, Gloria Nowell of Louisville, MS; and three brothers, Joe W. Palmer of Louisville, MS, James A. Palmer of Orlando, FL, and Billy Wayne Palmer of Daytona Beach, FL.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014, at Nowell Massey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

Betty White
Betty White, 89, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014, at Louisville Healthcare in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be the day of the service from 1 p.m. until service time on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Nowell Massey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny White officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Richard H. Woodward, 54, died Friday, February 28, 2014, at Pioneer Community Hospital in Ackerman, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 3rd, at Whitehall United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kyle Ivy, Rev. Mike Dowd, and Rev. Stacy Parvin officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Whitehall Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
