Marvin Edward “Eddy” Morton, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at his home in Louisville, Mississippi. The family will receive visits from friends in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 9 from 12 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Eddy was born June 7, 1953, to John Billy and Mary Alice Trosper Morton in Florida. For more than 30 years, he worked as an electrician at Shuqualak Lumber Company. He dearly loved his family and his dog, Lulu. Eddy was also an outdoorsman who loved being outside playing with his grandchildren. They enjoyed hunting and fishing in addition to bird hunting together. He also enjoyed watching his western shows.
Eddy is survived by his wife Tommie Morton, his daughter Tan Rouse both of Louisville, and his son Eddy Morton and wife Wendy of Columbus, Mississippi. One of his greatest joys was being “PawPaw” to his four grandchildren: Ashley (Sam) Dempsey, Josh Rouse, Justin Morton, and Jake Morton; as well as his four great-grandchildren: Lawson Dempsey, Laura Elizabeth Dempsey, Layton Rae Dempsey and Barrett Morton. He also leaves behind his sister Mary Ann (Lawrence) Card.
Eddy was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings: Susie Sudduth, Janet Swinney, Judy Triplett, Martha Morton and John Billy Morton.
