Jeff was a big supporter of the Louisville Wildcats and the Mississippi State Bulldogs in all sports. He said many times "it is hard to be a Bulldog fan", but his patience was rewarded in 2021 when the Dogs finally won a national championship in baseball. Jeff loved baseball at all levels of the sport. He also loved to squirrel hunt, and enjoyed nothing better than sitting under a hickory tree with his .22 rifle on a crisp fall morning. He was a mild mannered man, that was always willing to help with whatever needed to be done.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Cathy Reason Allen. He is survived by his dad Mike Allen Sr, his brother Mike Allen Jr, his niece Kaleigh Allen, and his nephew Cayson Allen.
James Derricks Edmond
James was born March 11, 1973 to the parents of James Williams Edmond and Pearlean Danields Edmond in Sumter, South Caroline.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Pearlean Edmond; brother, Cornelious Edmond.
James is survived by his wife, Tamara Edmond; children, Chris Edmond, Miyana Mcgee, Michael Edmond, Nicholas Moore, Kendrick Edmond, Zaria Prince, William Rockett and Jakarri Houston; father, James Edmond (Jossie); grandchildren, Skyla Goss and Rileigh Grace Moore; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and family.
Archie Dean Stanley
Archie Dean Stanley, age 74, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at his home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 26 in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, Mississippi, with Bro. Jon White officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at Massey Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in Camp Ground Cemetery.
Archie was born November 10, 1951, to Plummer and Stella Thomas Stanley. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and just being outdoors. Archie especially enjoyed spending time in his mechanic shop with his sidekick, Roger.
One of his favorite places to eat was Pap’s, where he enjoyed sitting down for a good meal. But more than anything, Archie loved his family. His grandchildren were very special to him, and some of his happiest times were spent playing with them. He enjoyed getting down in the floor and chasing his grandchildren.
Archie is survived by his two daughters, Marsha Oxner (Tarpley) of Florence, Mississippi, and Laurie Watkins of Louisville; and two sons, Michael Stanley (Kathy) of Pelahatchie, Mississippi, and Thomas Stanley also of Louisville. One of his greatest joys was being “Papaw” to his seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers: Julius “Bill” Stanley, Bobby Stanley (Edna), and Jerry Stanley (Frances); in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Stanley; his son, William Steve Watkins; his parents; and five siblings: Florene Parker, Geneva Stevenson, Jan White, Larry Stanley, and Clyde Stanley.
Serving as pallbearers are Tarpley Oxner, Josh Watkins, Christopher White, Jon Chapman, Mike Dunn, and Jason Adams. Roger Garrard will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Patricia Dearman Horton

She was born on July 12, 1944, to Lee and Gladice Dearman. Patricia was a woman whose love was felt deeply by everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a devoted Christian, a loving wife, a wonderful mother, and, above all, a grandmother whose love and presence will remain in the hearts of her family forever. Patricia loved her husband, Don Horton, with a love that endured throughout her life and remained with her until her final days. Their life together was a cherished part of who she was, and the love they shared will continue to be remembered by their family. She was a great mother to her only child, Rebecca Arendale, and an even better grandmother. Patricia treasured her family and took great joy in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love, kindness, faith, and guidance helped shape the family she leaves behind.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Arendale; her siblings, Barbara Reeves and Roger Dearman; her grandchildren, Haylee Cox (Steven Cox), Jessica Smith (Shunn Smith), and Charles Arendale II (Abigail Arendale); and her great-grandchildren, Jessie Crump, Elijah Stegall, Julian Stegall, Ady Cox, Micah Ratliff, Stevie Arendale, Montel Smith, and Kyng Smith.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Horton, and her parents, Lee and Gladice Dearman.
Patricia was also deeply loved and appreciated by the many friends and staff members at Church Street Manor in Ecru, where she lived. She became an important part of that community, touching the lives of those around her with her warmth, faith, and kindness. She was more than a resident—she was someone people cared about and will remember.
Those who knew Patricia will remember her beautiful smile, her gentle spirit, her unwavering faith, and most of all, the love she gave so freely to the people around her. Her family will carry her memory forward in the stories they tell, the lessons she taught them, and the love she gave them so generously. Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find comfort knowing that Patricia is now at peace, reunited with the husband she loved and resting in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served.
She was a great mother, an even better grandmother, and a blessing to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Mrs. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Mabry and Gussie Triplett; daughter, Betty Lean Yarbrough; grandson, Rumanye "Shawn" Haynes; two great grandsons, Sainguis Haynes and Larry Daniels, Jr; siblings, Leroy Triplett, Iree Triplett, Benjamin Triplett, Cliston Triplett, Murfee Triplett, Roland Triiplett, Jerome Triplett, Lillie Pearl Bates, Mae Belle Bates, Mary Dean Gandy, and Idell Young; Daughter-In-law, Linda Haynes.

Margaret Carter Young
Margaret was a woman of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a generous heart. A devoted Christian and faithful servant of God, she taught those around her through both her words and the way she lived.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Albert Harlan Young, affectionately known as “JJ”. As a dedicated wife and homemaker, she created a home where family was always welcomed, cared for, and loved. After JJ’s passing, Margaret continued to live independently for many years, facing each day with grace, determination, and contentment.
Margaret is survived by her children, Susie (Ray) Sims and John Albert (Kathy) Young all of Louisville. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was simply “Nanny” and there could never be another quite like her. She is survived by her eight grandchildren: Alan Sims (Grace Ann), Laura Hope Sims, Randall Sims (Jennifer), Megan Withers (James), Matt Young (Missy), Macy Young Davis (Austin), Holleigh Lovorn, and Heather Hobby. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Hannah Carpenter, E. K. Carpenter, Julianna Sims, Jillian Sims, Jonah Sims, and Judah Sims, Ella Margaret Sims, Emma Grace Sims, Levi Sims, Anna Young Withers, Eli Withers, Caroline Withers, Barbara Withers, Sarah Withers, Jonathan Withers, Kody Young, Kyler Young, Riverlynn Davis, Paxton Davis, Haley Eaves (Colby), Hayden Pierce (Abby), and Cooper McMullin. Margaret also leaves behind three great-great-grandchildren: Reece Eaves, Anniston Eaves, and Avery Pierce; in addition to her loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Brian Sims; her parents; and her siblings: Joe Carter, Jean Fleming, and Mary Lynn Richardson.
Margaret loved gardening, working outdoors, keeping her home beautiful, the color red, Friday trips to the beauty shop, traveling and going wherever her family invited her. She also loved a good game of Hearts—and it simply wasn’t proper unless Nanny was running the table!
Her faith was woven throughout her life. She faithfully served her church, played the piano and organ, and gave many years of service to the Calvary Water Association.
Above all, Margaret loved her family deeply. Her life reflected faith, service, generosity, hard work, and unconditional love.
Though our hearts ache at her absence, we find comfort knowing she has received the greatest homecoming of all—reunited with JJ and resting in the arms of Jesus.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 23 in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville with Bro. Trent Jaudon officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at Massey Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Noxapater, Mississippi, with Bro. Eugene Duran officiating assisted by Bro. Rob Faulk.

Forrest Frank Romedy
Forrest was born July 26, 1957, to Frank Forest and Sarah Vowell Romedy. He lived a life full of joy, happiness, hard work, and love. He had a contagious laugh that could brighten any room and a way of bringing happiness to those around him. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Through years of hard work, dedication, and determination, Forrest built a life and career in construction. He took great pride in his work and was always willing to share his knowledge and skills with others. But the lessons he passed on went far beyond construction. Through his words, actions, and example, he shared wisdom and life advice that made an impact on the people around him. His influence will continue through the many lives he touched and the lessons he left behind.
Above all, Forrest was a devoted husband, caring father, and loving grandfather. He spent his life loving his wife, Wanda Romedy, and their life together was one of the greatest treasures of his heart. His love for his family was steadfast, and he cherished the time he spent with them.
Forrest leaves behind to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, Wanda Romedy; his children, Matthew Sims, Kayla Romedy Stone; his grandchildren, Presley Sims, Scarlett Stone; his sisters, Clytee Romedy, Bonita Furr; along with numerous extended family members, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who were blessed to know him.
He was preceded in death by: His parents, Frank Forrest Romedy & Sarah Romedy; his siblings, Ada Faye Creech, Mary Lane Miller, Quairs Romedy, Barry Romedy, Lucille Tullos, and Lowery Romedy.
Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Forrest’s long battle with cancer has ended and that he is no longer suffering from the pains of this earthly life. His laughter, his wisdom, his love, and the memories he created will remain with his family and friends forever.

James Sudduth
Jim was born on February 10, 1951, in Columbus, Mississippi, to Walker Hamilton Sudduth and Francis Fuqua Sudduth. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. During and following his military service, Jim continued his education, attending Chaminade University of Honolulu and earning his master’s degree from Pepperdine University.
Following his time in the Air Force, Jim worked for the United States Postal Service before later beginning a career selling life insurance.
Jim is survived by his wife, Suzie Reynolds Sudduth; his biological sons, Shawn Sudduth (Natali) and Brad Sudduth; and his stepchildren, Chrissy Erickson (Jim) and Joey Bealis (Cally). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Eric Sudduth (Kimmie), Hannah Sudduth Phillips (Brian), Marc Sudduth (Sunny), Luke Sudduth (Brooke), Nick Sudduth, Toby Sudduth, Chelsea Suddduth, Omar Sudduth, Tyler Sudduth, Dre Sudduth, Ben Sudduth, Brooklyn Bealis, and Mackenzie Bealis; and two great-grandchildren, as well as his sister, Donna Thompson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Sue and Becky.
Jim will be remembered for his love of family, his service to his country, his curiosity about the world, and the many memories he created with those he loved. His greatest pleasure was traveling the world with Suzie, and he cherished being able to share those, travels, and love that will continue to be treasured by all who knew him.

James William Moody
William, as he was known by his family, leaves behind a life that was intelligent, accomplished, generous, and filled with fun and love. He was born October 11, 1967. Although William attended and supported churches in the Madison area, he remained a member of the church he grew up in and loved, Good Hope Baptist Church in the Nanih Waiya community of Louisville, Mississippi.
William was never one to do things halfway. A 1985 graduate of Nanih Waiya High School, he was salutatorian of his class. A proud graduate of Mississippi State University, he was recognized multiple times as a President’s Scholar. He was elected president of the School of Accountancy student body for 1989–1990 based on his leadership and academic standing. In that role, he represented more than 700 students and 30 faculty members. He also served as president of the Inter-School Council, assisting the entire MSU student body with student affairs and special events. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1989 and his master’s degree in business administration in 1990.
William went on to earn numerous professional certifications, including Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and Realtor. He worked in accounting and Mississippi business-startup capacities for various state departments in Jackson. He also taught online classes for several universities and spent many years as an instructor of business at Belhaven University in Jackson, teaching both in the classroom and online. He also taught classes at Hinds Community College. In 2009, he was honored as one of the Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40, recognizing professional excellence and community contribution within the state. From 2018 until 2024, he worked as a Realtor in the Flowood and Madison areas.
William was a collector of antique furniture, rare and beautiful paintings, and other unique treasures. He developed a deep appreciation for things with history, character, and a story of their own. His lifelong passion for antiques began at a young age, and he had a remarkable eye for finding beauty and value in things others might have overlooked. He often traveled to New Orleans and Atlanta in search of just the right piece. His most precious treasures were those passed down through his family.
Long before college, careers, business ventures, and a house full of treasures, William’s story began on the family farm in Nanih Waiya that he loved dearly. Growing up there shaped much of who he became: hardworking, resourceful, independent, practical when necessary, and always willing to tackle a project. Farm life taught him that work needs doing and that very little gets accomplished by simply standing around talking about it. William carried that lesson with him throughout his life.
William also had an extraordinary gift for making life feel bigger, brighter, and more festive. Holiday decorating was never simply decorating; it was a production. A holiday was not something to quietly observe; it was something to celebrate, with enough decorations to make certain no one could possibly miss the occasion.
His generosity extended far beyond the holidays. William was the kind of neighbor who did not simply live beside people; he folded them into his life. Neighbors became friends, and friends often became family. If someone needed help, William was there. He was “Uncle Willie” to the children in the neighborhood and to the children of his friends.
His family will miss his love, his wit, his intelligence, his generosity, his stories, his decorating, his grand celebrations, and, most of all, the comfort of simply knowing he was there.
William is survived by his mother, Shirley Ann Kemp Moody; his sisters, Regina Moody and Danette Moody Barrier (Van) of Starkville, Mississippi; and his nieces and nephew, whom he considered his own: Lauren Tehan (Lee) of Brandon, Mississippi; Danielle Atchley (Lance) of Starkville, Mississippi; and Tatum Barrier (Leanne) of Brandon, Mississippi. He loved their children with all his heart: Corbin Tehan, Max Tehan, Mia Atchley, Lucy Atchley, and Hazel Barrier.
He was preceded in death by his father, William “Billy” Tatum Moody; his paternal grandparents, Tatum and Lillian Moody; and his maternal grandparents, J.W. and Ludie Kemp, all of Louisville, Mississippi.

Nellie Walker Bailey

Nellie Mae Walker Bailey, 81, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Becky Smith officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Nellie was born November 13, 1944, in Winston County, MS, to Orby Davis and Annie Jane Walker. She was a graduate of Noxapater High School and attended East Central Community College. She loved caring for people, old and young alike, and worked as a caregiver for the elderly for many years. Nellie especially loved children and cared for many children in her community and considered them family. Her daddy was a sharecropper and Nellie loved following in his footsteps and helping him in the fields. She was a “daddy’s girl”. She was a member of Middleton Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis Bailey, Jr.; a brother, Orby Walker; and three sisters, Bea Sullivan, Minnie Mae Foster, and Marie Walker Hemphill.
Nellie is survived by two sons, William Yates and Davis Yates, both of Louisville; a daughter, Rebecca Mullins of Texas; a brother, George Walker of Starkville; a sister, Joy Hunt of Louisville; three grandchildren, Lisa Vernon, Christy Stewart, and Nathaniel Stewart; and eight great grandchildren.
The family would give special thanks to those who helped take such good care of Nellie: Hayden Kilgore, her Nurse Practitioner; Kayla Jackson of Accent Care; and Sherry Howard with Golden Triangle Personal Care Services.
Matthew Douglas Pritchett
Matthew Douglas Pritchett, age 59, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026, at his home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, September 20 in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville with Bro. Jimmy Dempsey officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at Massey Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in Coy Community Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Matthew was born September 11, 1967, to Billy Joe and Anne Buckalew Pritchett in Wiggins, Mississippi.
He had a special heart for the elderly, especially his mother who he took breakfast to and spent time with every day. With a strong mother-son bond, Ann and Matthew spent a lot a time together. His father Billy Joe shared his knowledge with Matthew and was his role model. Being the youngest, his sisters Angie and Penny always looked out for him. As a confidant, his brother Phillip was always there for Matthew.
Matthew looked forward to outdoor games with family, especially his nieces even though he occasionally got roughed up. He could often be found in the company of close friends playing cards, having a friendly pool competition, shooting skeets, or just hanging out. Making old cars and trucks go fast was also one of his favorite hobbies.
His grandfather, Barney taught him to love the outdoors, where you could often find Matthew hunting. His mother-in-law, Janette, was one of his favorite fishing buddies. As a devoted Alabama football fan, he collected and decorated his shop with University of Alabama memorabilia.
As a skilled operator equipment mechanic, he worked pipeline jobs across the country. In between pipeline jobs, he worked with Charles and Johnny at Choctaw Rails.
Matthew is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Stokes Pritchett; his sisters, Penny Hill Sistrunk (Richard) and Angie Dempsey (Jimmy) all of Louisville; and his brother, Phillip Pritchett (Jan) of Hampton, Georgia. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Janette Stokes; his sisters-in-law, Michelle Keever (Merle), Becky Ellis, and Kay Barfoot; and brothers-in-law, Johnny Stokes (Martha) and Ricky Barfoot; in addition to his loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David Pritchett; his grandparents, Barney and Mattie Bell Buckalew and Dixie and Onie Pritchett, his father-in-law, Charles Stokes; and his brother-in-law, Chuck Barfoot.

Gloria Jean White Edwards
Gloria was born April 1, 1948, to Coy White, Sr., and Betty Stevenson White. She enjoyed any outside activity; especially gardening. Gloria could grow anything and was known for her “green thumb.” She also enjoyed cooking for her family. Her nickname was “Aunt GoGo” because she was always ready to make a trip!
Gloria is survived by her devoted companion, Joe N. Flores; and her children: Dachelle Murphy (Morgan); James Gerald Edwards, III; and Melissa Ann Key all of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “Mamaw” to her four grandchildren: Zachary Neil Hobby, Matthew David Key, Dalton Wayne Key, and James Gerald Edwards, IV. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Walker Leon Hobby, Axel Edwards, Bryson White, Hailey Nicole Key, Matthew David Key, Jr., Madelyn Leigh Key, and Derrick Zane Key; in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Betty York and Margaret Eaves; and four brothers, Rickey White, Charles White, Coy White, Jr., and Tommy White.

Gloria Jean Williamson Eaves Sarvis
Gloria Jean Williamson Eaves Sarvis passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, at Generations of Vernon in Vernon, Alabama, one day after her 86th birthday.
Gloria was born on September 8, 1940, to Abb Bert Williamson Sr. and Vera Reed Williamson. She was raised on her family’s dairy farm in the Nanih Waiya community of Mississippi.
Gloria lived a remarkable life defined by strength, determination, and an unmistakable spirit. She built a successful career as an electrician at Ingalls Shipbuilding, where she was among the first women to serve in that role. She earned the respect of those with whom she worked, and even long after her retirement, former coworkers continue to speak highly of her.
After retiring, Gloria returned to her childhood home in Nanih Waiya. She often reminisced about growing up on the family farm and carried those memories with her throughout her life. Gloria had a big personality and was truly one of a kind. Full of character, she loved a good debate, lively conversation, and sharing her thoughts with those around her.
Gloria married Lemuel Eaves, and together they had four children. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Sharon (Larry) Wester, Hank Loyd Eaves, Deborah Jean (Mark) Smith, and Martin Daniel (Nicole) Eaves.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Forrest Eaves; Garrett (Kay) Blue; Casey (Shelley) Jones; Amanda (Aaron) Kopp; Danielle (Eric) Prince; Quinton (Montana) Crawford; Wesley (Samantha) Crawford; Payton (Marnie) Wester; Kahlen (Tanner) Swoger; and Cole Eaves.
Gloria’s memory will also be cherished by her great-grandchildren: Taylor, Kaylee, Ella, Elizabeth Cora, Rhett, Emree, Brewer, Westin, and Thea.
Above all, Gloria was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family deeply, delighted in doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and took tremendous pride in watching her family grow. Her love, strength, stories, and larger-than-life personality will be remembered by all who knew her.
Gloria held her niece and nephews close to her heart. The family is grateful for their love and kindness, and especially for the care and companionship shared with her in her later years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Dixie Delores Williamson Houston, Abb Bert "Junior" Williamson, and Royce "Bruce" Williamson; her daughter-in-law, Lisa Eaves; and her grandson, Andrew Loyd Eaves. Carolyn Jan Bouchillon Hisaw
Carolyn was born February 14, 1949, to Willie Carl and Mildred Simmons Bouchillon. She was a devoted member of Crystal Ridge Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as the church pianist for more than 51 years and the church clerk. She also taught Sunday school for many years and was always ready to share her faith with others. Carolyn enjoyed reading, sewing and crocheting. She spent many years as a substitute teacher for the Louisville School District, where she touched the lives of many young people and was a positive example to them. Carolyn dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Her family will always remember the love she put into everything she did—including the delicious biscuits they all enjoyed so much.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Donnie Joe Hisaw; her daughter, Pam Hisaw McCool (Robert) of Noxapater, Mississippi; and her son, Jason (Penny) Hisaw of Union, Mississippi. One of her greatest joys was being “Gran” to her four grandchildren: Katie McCool Boydstun (Marshall), Peyton McCool (Katie), Morgan Hisaw, and Ashlyn Hisaw; as well as her three great-grandchildren: Avery Boydstun, Thomas Boydstun, and Addie McCool. She is also survived by her two brothers, Steven Bouchillon and Eddy Gaylord (Elaine); in addition to her loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Carl and Mildred Simmons Bouchillon.
Serving as pallbearers are Peyton McCool, Robert McCool, Morgan Hisaw, Marshall Boydstun, Kenneth Harvey, Scott McBrayer, and Mike Robertson.

Mr. Charles Frank Donald, 91, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, at his daughter’s home in Caledonia, Mississippi, surrounded by his daughter and two of his grandsons at his bedside. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday September 7, at Porter Funeral Home with Bro. Wesley Donald, his grandson, officiating. A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Charles was born in Louisville, Mississippi, on July 25, 1935 to Willis Edward and Willie Green Donald He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mittie Ann Donald, his parents, his son Chuck, and his brothers, William E “Billy” Donald and Jerry L. Donald.
Charles was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. He worked at The Fair Company then later he worked alongside his brother at NAPA Auto Parts, where he was known for his strong work ethic. Retirement never truly slowed him down and there was rarely a time when he wasn’t busy doing something. Outside of work, Charles enjoyed the simple things that brought him happiness. He loved fishing, gardening, going to the casino, and spending time doing the things he enjoyed most. He especially loved boiling peanuts and eating crab legs—two things that will forever bring loving memories of him to his family.
Charles leaves behind his children, Alan Donald (Kathy) and Mary Gwendolyn Chandler, his daughter-in-law Brenda Donald; and his grandchildren, Wesley (Sarah Donald), Mallory (Taylor) Fleming, Lindsey (Daymond) Knight, Macey (Jack) Green, Camden Chandler, Garrett Chandler, and Grayson Chandler. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Leland, Kevin, Cason, Charlotte, Whit, Olivia, and Emily. He is survived by his sister, Mary Jane (Charles) Clark, sisters-in law Gwen Rakestraw, Jeanette Donald and Ouida Donald along with many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Charles will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of family, his enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures, and the memories he created with the people he loved. His family will carry those memories with them always and find comfort in knowing that he is once again reunited with his beloved Mittie Ann. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through the family he loved so dearly.

Jaxxon was born March 9, 2026, in Jackson, MS., to his loving parents, Demetrius Spears and Chiquita Nunn. He was a beloved son and grandchild whose brief life touched the hearts of all who knew and loved him.Jaxxon was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Ann Warren Nunn.
Jaxxon leaves to cherish his memory; His parents, Demetrius Spears and Chiquita Nunn; his grandmother, Patricia Robbins; his grandfathers, James Nunn and Ronnie & Evelyn Spears; siblings, Alyssa Nunn, Braylen Cobb, Zayvon Ivory, Romarous Grayer, and Kaylan Spears; and a host of relatives, friends, and loved ones.

James Douglas "Doug" Hudspeth
James Douglas “Doug” Hudspeth, 84, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at his home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 7 at First Baptist Church in Louisville with Dr. Health Hillman officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in Murphy Creek Cemetery.
Doug was born to Jesse James and Wabie Hudspeth on May 28, 1942. He grew up in Louisville before moving to Pearl, Mississippi, during high school. He graduated from Pearl High School in 1960. In 1965, he married the love of his life, Frances Diann Marsicek.
In 1974, he started his auto parts business, Rebel Auto Parts, and ran it until 2018 before retiring. What started as a small inventory in a rented building grew, through his determination and hard work, into a thriving business. Diann worked alongside him throughout the years, and the employees of Rebel Auto Parts were like family. Doug was past president of the Mississippi Automotive Wholesalers Association. He also served on the advisory committee for the Automotive Jobbers Warehouse for many years. Through the years, Doug also acquired several other businesses.
He helped many people over the years that no one ever knew about and mentored many young men teaching them good work ethics.
Doug was a man of strong faith and a devoted member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and on several committees. He loved the Lord and his church family. His faith was an important part of his life and the foundation upon which he built his family and his relationships with others.
Doug and Diann loved to travel and were blessed to see much of the world together. He enjoyed piddling in his shop, restoring vehicles, working in his yard, and spending time at their cabin on the Tombigbee River. One of his favorite projects was building a kit car, Shelby Cobra, of which he was very proud.
Of all the things Doug enjoyed in life, nothing compared to his family. His greatest joy was being a husband, dad, and especially “Pop Pop.” He and Diann traveled numerous miles to watch their children and grandchildren at football and basketball games, archery matches, recitals, birthdays, Grandparents’ Days, baptisms, and all the other moments that mattered to them. He spent many weekends taking their children and their friends boating and skiing. How he loved his grandchildren and they loved him. One of Doug’s greatest wishes was to see his grandson, Gunner, coach football. Sadly, Doug became ill and was not able to do this. Doug worked hard but he also loved to play.
Doug is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Diann Marsicek Hudspeth; his two children, Mark Hudspeth (Tyla) of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Lea Roberson (Jimmy) of Louisville; and his seven grandchildren, Gunner Hudspeth, Nicole Roberson, Carley Hudspeth, Britni Roberson, Major Hudspeth, Captain Hudspeth, and Rocky Hudspeth, who lovingly called him “Pop Pop.” He is also survived by his sister, Gayle Coffman (Rick); his brother, Randy Hudspeth (Carol); his sister-in-law, Billie Hudspeth; along with loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Mickey Hudspeth; and his sister, June Frazier.
Serving as pallbearers are Gunner Hudspeth, Major Hudspeth, Drew Hudspeth, Bradley Amon, Jeremy Hill, Brantley Williams, Brett Williamson, and Clay Williamson. Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of First Baptist Church and members of the Social Security Club.
