Mr. Danny Marlon Sullivan, 80, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 10th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Wells and Rev. Wayne Hill officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sardis Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Danny Marlon was born May 19, 1942, in Winston County, MS. He was self-employed in the metal buildings business and a member of Ellison Ridge Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Velma Beatrice Hemphill and Robert Allen Sullivan; two sisters, Eloise Sullivan and Eudean McDonald; and five brothers, Vernon Sullivan, Reggie Sullivan, Dewayne Sullivan, Dennis Sullivan, and Arvel Sullivan.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Landrum Sullivan; two daughters, Lesli Landrum and Gina Neely, one grandson, Josh Neely, all of Louisville; and one brother, Raybon Sullivan of Caledonia, MS
Pallbearers will be Derek Eaves, Richard Eaves, Kevin Hindman, Tommy Clark, Troy Taylor, and Trey Taylor. Serving as an honorary pallbearer is Michael Burt.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dustin Gentry, Quality Hospice, and the staff of the Winston County Nursing Home for their care and compassion during these last few months.
