Peggy was born September 24, 1938, to Charles and Opal Luke Smith of Noxapater. She was a member of South Louisville Baptist Church; she loved her church and church family dearly. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, and working in her flowers; and playing with her cat, Kittle. Peggy loved her family and was a mother to many. She was retired from Angelica where for many years she worked as an Assistant Supervisor.

She also leaves behind a special niece, Paula Hudson and husband, Roger; niece Kim Parker and husband, Randy; and two nephews, Howard Wigle and Chuck Wigle. One of her greatest joys was being “Nana” to her three grandchildren: Ethan Persons, Luke Nowell, and Hannah Robinson; as well as to her four great-grandchildren.
