He was born on November 28, 1937 to the late Charlie and Lodean Scarbrough. Mr. Scarbrough retired from Flexsteel Industries in 2013. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and especially loved spending time hunting, fishing, gardening, and camping in the great outdoors. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sandra Franks Scarbrough of Sturgis, sons Gerald (Jan) Scarbrough of Huntingdon, Tenn., Billy (Marsha) Stricklin of Ackerman, daughters Kimberly (Jeff 'Bo') Vickers of Sturgis, Michele (Chuck) Robertson of Starkville, Emily Stricklin of Ackerman, brothers Billy Scarbrough and Charles Scarbrough of Starkville, and sisters Irene Ray and Sally Oglesby of Sturgis.Scarbrough was the proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Wiley, and sister, Sylvia Jean.
In lieu of flowers; donations may be made to the Craig Springs Cemetery fund in honor of Mr. Scarbrough.
