Linda Faye York, 69, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at her residence in Meridian, Mississippi. Visitation will be Saturday, June 20, 2015, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Graveside services and interment will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2015, in the Union Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roy Dabbs and Rev. Albert McMullen officiating.
Mrs. York was born on October 27, 1945, to Ester and Jessie Holton Miles. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Meridian, Mississippi and served as an Office Clerk at Spartus.
Linda is survived by her husband, Greg York, Sr.; her son, Wayne Gregg and wife, Lisa; two step-sons: Greg York, Jr. and wife, Rebecca; and Gary Wayne York and wife, Dagmar; his step-daughter, Teresa May and husband, Todd; and his sister-in-law, Shirley Swindle and husband, Wayne. Linda is also survived by eight step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; two aunts, Lee Holton and Irene Madson; and his uncle; Roy Sheppard. Mrs. York was preceded in death by her parents.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robby Matson, Wayne Miles, Scott Sheppard, Jay Swindle, Gary York, and Tony York. Greg York, Jr. will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
