Felin Houston McAdory, Jr., 88, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at his residence in Falling Waters, West Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2015, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Noxapater, Mississippi with Rev. Chris Vowell officiating.
Visitation will be the day of the service at the church from 1p.m. until 1:30 p.m. for the family with public visitation starting at 1:30 until service time. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. McAdory was born on November 18, 1926, to Felin and Ida Barnes McAdory, Sr. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church of Noxapater. Felin answered the call to serve his country during World War II by serving in the United States Navy; he later retired after serving 20 years in the United States Army as an engineer, including time served during the Korean War. He also retired from Lockheed Aircraft after 20 years; was a Master Mason for 51 years; and a Shriner and Scottish Rites for 40 years.
Felin is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Henson and husband, Lee; and Teresa Brumbaugh and husband, Steve, all of West Virginia; his son, David McAdory of Meridian, Mississippi; and the mother of his children, Luna Nichols Sorrells. Mr. McAdory is also survived by two grandchildren: Nicholas Allen and Kyle McAdory; as well as a great-grandson, Able McAdory. Mr. McAdory was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Michael McAdory.
