Terry was born December 17, 1945, to Terrell Wright, Sr. and Mavis Sellers Wright in Louisville, Mississippi. He worked in the oil fields and later retired from Taylor Machine Works as a welder and pipe fitter. Terry enjoyed being with people; singing; and riding four-wheelers. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing as long as his health allowed. Most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren. He answered the call of his country by serving in the United States Army.
Terry is survived by his wife of 32 years, Charlotte Stokes Wright of Louisville; and his children: Terice (Michael) Smith of New Brunswick, Canada; Jeremy (Jessica) Wright; and Tabatha Griffin (Vince Ferguson) all of Louisville. One of his greatest joys was being “Papaw” to his grandchildren: Colby (Hannah) Wright, Braydon Wright, Dillon (Laura) Long, Juliana (Matthew) Walker, Brody Long, Caleb Long, Dylan (Mollie) Tabor, Cheyenne Griffin and Raelie Jewell; as well as his seven great-grandchildren: Reece Wright, Emerson Walker, Casey Long, and Julianna, Tayley, Tinley and Jagger. He also leaves behind his sister, Dale Wright Green of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee: and brother, Danny Wright of Louisville; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, brothers-in law, sisters-in-law, other family members, and friends. Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
Serving as pallbearers are Jeremy Wright, Colby Wright, Vince Ferguson, Patrick Eubanks, Chris Eubanks, and Tatum Luke.
