Klinelle Vickers Coleman

Klinelle Vickers Coleman, age 87, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital—Golden Triangle with those who dearly loved her at her side. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 9 at Friendship Baptist Church with Reverend Junior Davis and Reverend Jeremy McCrory officiating. Visitation will be at the church on the day of the service from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow in Craig Springs Cemetery in Oktibbeha County.

Klinelle was born February 8, 1937, to Bert and Bertha Merritt Vickers in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Klinelle enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, and fishing with her faithful companion, Precious, by her side. She also enjoyed shopping, especially for jewelry, shoes, and purses. Klinelle was an excellent seamstress and an awesome cook, who enjoyed cooking for her family and others.

Klinelle is survived by her daughters: Gayenell (James “Bomb”) McClelland and Michele Milner (Daniel) all of Sturgis. One of her greatest joys was being “Momma C” to her grandchildren: Jay McClelland, Bridget (J. T.) Tucker and Tyler Milner; as well as her great-grandchildren: Lauren (Kaleb) Fulgham, Coleman McClelland, Carter McClelland, John Thomas Tucker, Jack Tucker, and Jake Tucker. She is also survived by two great-granddaughters, Maggie Ryan and Mollie Fulgham; her sister, Kathy (Burnell) Pitts; in addition to her loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Klinelle was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Grady Wayne Coleman; her parents, and her brother, Dale “Bud” Vickers.

Serving as pallbearers are Jay McClelland, Coleman McClelland, Carter McClelland, J. T. Tucker, John Thomas Tucker, Jack Tucker, and Jake Tucker. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in honor of Klinelle be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at stjude.org/memorials.
