Garvis Lamar Blaine of Ackerman, MS, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Diversicare, in Eupora, MS. Mr. Blaine was born April 11, 1935, in Choctaw County, MS, to Benny Garvis and Opal(Turner) Blaine. He was 85 years old. Mr. Blaine was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Blaine is survived by his wife, Mary Blaine of Ackerman, MS; 1 daughter, Terry(Jose) Barron of Pontotoc, MS; 3 sons, Mark(Cheryl) Blaine of Australia, Kirk(Lori) Blaine of Philadelphia, MS, Scott(Teresa) Blaine of Caledonia, MS; 1 sister, Pat(Rick) Garlock of Kentucky; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Blaine was preceded in death by his parents, Benny Garvis and Opal Blaine, 1 brother, and 1 grandson.
