Lavina Blanton O'Bannon passed away Friday, August 7, 2020, at her residence, in Ackerman, MS. She was born March 19, 1926, in Choctaw County, MS, to Berry Homer and Lillian Myrtle(Cork) Blanton. She was 94 years old. Mrs. O'Bannon was a retired sewing machine operator and homemaker.
Private graveside services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020, 10:30 a.m., at Enon
Cemetery in Ackerman, MS.
Mrs. O'Bannon is survived by 1 son, Ronald O'Bannon of Ackerman, MS, 1 brother, Roy Blanton of Ackerman, MS, and 2 sisters, Norma Shaw of Gore Springs, MS, Lillie Timothy of Mobile, AL, and 1 sister-in-law, Edris O'Bannon of Madison, MS. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Morris O'Bannon, her parents, 2 brothers, Herbert and Brice Blanton, and 1 sister, Sarah Lou Castens.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
