Mr. Nowell, 81, of Philadelphia, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Neshoba County General Hospital.
He was born and reared in Winston County and moved to Neshoba County early in life where he made his home. He was retired after 58 years with Wells Lamont Corporation. Mr. Nowell was Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Nowell of Philadelphia; daughters, Theresa Davis, Angie Donald of Philadelphia, and Vicky Lynn Shavers and her husband, Marvin Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; son, Terry Nowell of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Mae Bozeman of Philadelphia, Linda Robertson of Philadelphia, and Dot Durham of Skiatook, Oklahoma; and brothers, Cecil Nowell of Powder Springs, Georgia, John Nowell of Pearl, and Harold Nowell of Villa Rica, Georgia.
Mr. Nowell was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Durham.
Pallbearers are Jonathan Donald, Joseph Bozeman, Justin Payton, Charles McDaniel, Tommy Sullivan, and Donnie Alford.
