| Mrs. Rose Mary Young Pearson, 85, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson,Mississippi. Visitation will be Monday, July 9, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville,Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Pearson was born on March 12, 1927. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and she enjoyed a career as a secretary working for various entities in Winston County: First United Methodist Church, King’s Economy, Sheriff Fred Sloan’s office, and finally retiring from Louisville Utilities. Mrs. Pearson is survived by two daughters: Emily Eaves and Dinah Smith (John Thomas Smith) of Louisville, Mississippi. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Crystal Harsh; Rachel Purvis; Kyle Eaves; Rob Eaves; and Whitney Smith. She also has three sisters: Frances Hill, Bobbye Mills, and Nancy Hanna; as well as, two sisters-in-law, Bernice Pearson and Sue Pearson. In addition, Mrs. Pearson has four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pearson; sisters, Charlotte Webb and Jewel Hembree; her brother, Quintus Young; and her parents, Q. C. and Emily Chambliss Young. Pallbearers will be Ken Mills, Brian Mills, Rush Hembree, Hal Hanna, Kyle Eaves and Rob Eaves. Memorials may be given toFirst United Methodist Church, 300 W. Main Street, Louisville, MS or to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
