Harry B. Woodruff, Jr.
Mr. Harry B. Woodruff, Jr., 68, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Thursday , July 12, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Haggard and Rev. Scarlett Sheppard officiating. Interment will be in Flower Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Woodruff was born May 31, 1944. He was a member of Flower Ridge United Methodist Church in Louisville. Mr. Woodruff retired after serving 18 years as a recruiter for the United States Army; he was also a retired diary farmer and a volunteer fireman. He was a member of the Noxapater Lodge 536; a Mason and a Shriner; as well as, a member of the Mid-South Fly Wheelers Antique Tractor Club.
Mr. Woodruff is survived by his wife, Glenda Woodruff of Louisville. He is also survived by two sons: Steve Woodruff and wife, Susan; and Mike Woodruff all of Louisville. Mr. Woodruff has two sisters: Joyce Bennett of Madison, Mississippi; and Jan Sloan and husband, Tony, of Louisville; one brother, Pat Woodruff and wife, Dot, also of Louisville. He has two grandchildren: Josh Fisher and wife, Chasatie, and Jessie Fisher; as well as, two great-grandchildren: Caylee Fisher and Levi Tanksley. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Eva Elizabeth Woodruff; his brother, Gene Woodruff; and his parents, Harry B. Woodruff, Sr. and Pauline Covington Woodruff.
Pallbearers will be Steve Hollingsworth, David Covington, Lynn Cornelius, Don Greenwood, Charles Covington, Mark Covington, and Deacon Jones. Serving as honorary pallbearers will Albert Glass, Marshall Beck, Billy Charles Stokes, and Charles Clark.
