Irene Clark passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, MS. Mrs. Clark was born August 3, 1927, in Madison County, MS, to Walter and Ruby(Peden) Whitehead. She was 94 years old. Mrs. Clark was a long time employee of Wells Lamont Glove Manufacturing Company in Eupora, MS.
Private funeral services for family and closest friends will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, 2:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Visitation for family and close friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. till service time. Burial will follow in Wood Springs Cemetery. The family requests that those attending please take precautions to prevent the spread of Covid.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her son, Donny(Janet) Clark of Ackerman, MS; 3 sisters, Aleene Caraway of Bolton, MS, Dorothy "Dot" Griffin of Jackson, MS, and Mary Cook of Brandon, MS; 4 grandchildren, Adam Lee Clark, Jessica Clark(Chuck) Smith, Fisha Atkinson, and Allan Atkinson; 3 great-grandchildren, Lizzie Grace Clark, McKenzie Inglis, and Madison Inglis.
Mrs. Clark is preceded in death by her husband, Alcie Lee Clark; her parents; 1 daughter, Betty Ann Atkinson; 1 granddaughter; Amy Atkinson; 3 brothers, Lester Whitehead, Clarence Whitehead, Larry Whitehead; and 1 sister, Jeffie Holley.
