Ashton Theodore Hamme, II was born on November 13, 1970 to Ashton Theodore Hamme and Late Eva Cobb Hamme in Detroit, MI.
At an early age, Ashton accepted Christ as his Savior, attending Church as a youth in Bessemer, AL. , his faith in the Lord also matured, leading him to be an active member of various churches. He served in various capacities, of the Church, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and Choir Member.
On July 3, 1993, Ashton united in Holy Matrimony with Joyce Wade. To this Union four beautiful daughters were born; Lauren Vashti, Auburn Lee, Ashley Clarie and Leah Grace.
After graduating from Southfield High School in 1988, Ashton attended Jackson State University, earning a B.S. in Chemistry. He later attended the Ohio State University, earning a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. He returned to Jackson State University in 2000 in the Department of Chemistry. Ashton became a Professor of Chemistry and later served as the Department's Interim Chair. Completing 20 years of Service to "The I Love". Jackson State University.
Ashton, is survived by; wife, Joyce of 31 years and their children, Lauren, Auburn, Ashley and leah; father, Ashton Hamme and a host of other relatives and friends.
