Arletta was born July 25, 1931, to Joseph and Evelyn Bray Jordan in Huntington, Tennessee. She was a member of South Louisville Baptist Church. Arletta was an avid reader and liked to cross stitch. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them as well as drinking coffee with her best friend, Ruth.
Arletta is survived by her loving daughter Beth Edmonds and husband Daryl of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “Grandmamma” to her three granddaughters: Rachel Edmonds (Michael) Womack, Laura Beth (Kenny Joe) Fulton, and Megan Wray Simpson. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Dotson, her daughter Cindy Dotson Wray, her son Ken Dotson, her parents, and three sisters: Waunetha Hunter, Jane Massey, and Fay Lowe.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael Womack, Chris Blackwell, Caleb Brown, Gary Brown, David Dodson, and Cole Harrison. Memorials in honor of Arletta may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tribute Program, P. O. Box 1000 Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
