Mr. Whitehead was born June 6, 1951, to William Albert and Bobbie Lee Edwards Whitehead. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church and the VFW. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed any outside activity. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and worked as a Maintenance Engineer at the Winston County Hospital and at Sears for many years.
Albert is survived by his wife, Bettye Nell Whitehead; his daughter, Alecia Lynn Whitehead Holder; his son, Jonathan Lee Whitehead and wife, Anna Leigh, all of Louisville, Mississippi. One of his greatest joys was being “Pop” to his two granddaughters, Alana Kathryn Whitehead and Annalysa Kay Whitehead. Also left to mourn his passing is his sister, Dale Joiner and husband, Wayne, also of Louisville. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Serving as pallbearers are Dell Coward, Tim Cumberland, Larry Fields, Jamie Flake, James Hanna, and Jeffrey Yarbrough. Honorary pallbearers are Tony Fulton, Walter Fulton, Milton Richardson, and Ricky Shaw.
