Lanelle was born November 20, 1916, to Haley Daniel and Gertrude Bedwell Ford. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville and a homemaker. Her hobbies included reading and handwork such as crocheting, needlepoint, and embroidery.
Lanelle is survived by her daughter, Nancy Sherrard; her sister, Sara Ward (late Raymond C. Ward) both of Louisville; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Sherrard; two sisters; and one brother.
