David was born February 28, 1956, to Harrell and Jimmie Ruth Hill Goodin. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. After graduating from Winston Academy, he earned a degree at Mississippi State University in Accounting becoming a Certified Public Accountant. He later graduated from the University Of Mississippi School Of Law and became a Certified Financial Planner. David, an avid golfer, was a longtime member of the Diamond Head Country Club; and was involved in community service through organizations such as the Kiwanis Club.
David is survived by his parents; his sister, Beverly Caldwell and husband, Phil, of Abita Springs, Louisiana; two nephews, Patrick Harrell Caldwell also of Abita Springs; and Stephen Philip Caldwell and wife, Gretchen, of Birmingham, Alabama; and his devoted friend, Gail Gonsoulin, of Diamond Head. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tami Elizabeth Goodin.
