Gail Smith Stroud

Gail Smith Stroud, 64, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 19, 2016, at Winston Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Sunday, February 21, 2016, at Nowell Massey Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Mayo and Rev. Terrell Stringer officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Gail was born November 29, 1951, to Harold and Fannie Peaster Smith. She was a member of Murphy Creek Baptist Church and a self-employed business owner.

Gail is survived by her son, Allen Stroud and wife, Jessica, of Philadelphia, Mississippi; her daughter, Ronda Stroud of Nashville, Tennessee; and her sister Betty Charlton and husband, Leslie, of Louisville. Also left to mourn the passing of their “Mamaw Gail” is her three grandchildren: Leigh Allyn, Tate, and Jase Stroud. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Serving as pallbearers will be Les Charlton, Ben Clark, Bobby Crowe, Joey Lowrey, Jeff McMinn, and Taylor Tucker. Memorials may be given to Murphy Creek Baptist Church Music Fund, 5420 Bond Road, Louisville, MS 39339 or to Winston-Choctaw Gideon Camp, P. O. Box 556, Louisville, MS 39339.
