Lola Mae Jenkins
Lola Mae Jenkins, 85, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at New Haven Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Ballard and Rev. Rob Faulk officiating. Additional visitation will be the day of the service at the church from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Choctaw County.
Mrs. Jenkins was born on June 17, 1929, to John Emmett and Lilly Crenshaw Alexander. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville; and she was a clerk at City Hall in Louisville for many years.
Lola Mae is survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas Jenkins; her son, Tommie Jenkins and wife, Nancy; and daughters, J. J. Jenkins and Pam Thomas all of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny” to her three granddaughters: Delisa Strait and husband, Justin; Teresa Eaves and husband, Kyle; and Kayla Jenkins and fiancĂ©, Bruce Fulcher. Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Hulon Alexander and Hudie Alexander; and a granddaughter, Leanna Jenkins.
Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Alexander, Eddie Dean, Kyle Eaves, Bruce Fulcher, Carol D. Rosamond, and Justin Strait. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Crenshaw, LaJune Lollar, Smith Rayburn, and Burn Simpson.
