Mrs. Louise Lawrence, 85, died Saturday, September 3, 2010, at Winston Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 6th, at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Lawrence was born August 5, 1925, in Winston County, MS, the daughter of Rubye Lewis and William Oscar Pittman. Mrs. Lawrence was a homemaker and worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Carter Kemp. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lawrence, and a daughter, Linda Kemp. She is survived by a son, Dwayne (Deborah) Lawrence of Providence, RI; three grandchildren, William Christopher Kemp, Elizabeth Caroline Lawrence, and Melissa Lawrence Scales; and one great grandchild, Ailsa Skye Carmisciano.
