Gary Dean Orr, age 67 of Maryville,Tn. passed away suddenly Saturday, July 24, 2010 at his home. He retired from the U. S. Navy after 20 years of service with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. C. and Maude Orr; brothers, Glenn and Denton Orr.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Orr; sons, Bobby Orr of Louisville, MS, and Greg Orr of Madison, MS; grandchildren, Denton, Morgan and Madison Orr; stepchildren, Lindsay Spiva and fiancé Jeff Claxton, Chris Spiva; nephews, Mike Orr and wife Susan Orr, Mark Orr and wife Debbie Orr, Steve Orr and wife Debbie Orr; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene and Gladys Pryor; sister-in-law, Nancy Orr; great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews; best friends, Ronnie Costner, Gene Pryor.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home followed by a 7:30 p.m memorial service with Rev. Bob Lynch officiating.
Family and friends will meet at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Grove Baptist Church for a meal prior to the service.
