Linda was born October 27, 1948, to Tommie C. and Patsy Triplett Flake in Winston County, Mississippi. She was a lifetime member of Zion Chapel Pentecostal Church. Linda loved to travel and did not like for any family members to travel without her! This summer she was able to travel to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and enjoy another mountain trip and to the beach; both trips she thoroughly enjoyed with her family. Linda enjoyed cooking and feeding others. Linda dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them; especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her children, Michelle (Scott) Barnhill and Danny (Cyndi) Keene all of Louisville, Mississippi. One of her greatest joys was being “Mamaw” to her grandchildren: Trent Barnhill, Turner (Hannah) Barnhill, Dakota Lynn (Austin) Foster, and Stephanie Tennyson. She dearly loved her eight great-grandchildren: Harlynn Rae, Alayna Ellen, and Emma Jean Barnhill; Remington Hayes and Ryleigh Belle Foster; Esmee Tennyson; David Levi (Madelyn) Tennyson, II; and Devon Lamar Tennyson; and her two great-great-grandchildren, Piper Faye and Walker Creed Tennyson. Linda is also survived by three sisters, Jewel Flake, Marilyn (Stevie) Breazeale, and Carolyn Butler; as well as her nephews, Steven and Eric Breazeale, other family members, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gurr Wylie Keene; grandson, David Levi Tennyson; her parents; brother, Tommie Cleveland Flake, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Bro. Bobby Joe Butler.

Serving as pallbearers are Eric Breazeale, Steven Breazeale, David Tennyson, II, Scott Eaves, Austin Foster, and Kevin Motley. Memorials in honor of Linda may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at stjude.org.
