David Wylie, 64, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital—Golden Triangle in Columbus, Mississippi, with his loving family by his side. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3 from 5 p. m. until 7 p.m. at Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 4 in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sean Greer officiating. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
David was born May 24, 1960, to Gordon and Barbara Massie Wylie in Brinkley, Arkansas.
David is survived by his wife, Beverly Wylie; and his children: Chris (Jennifer) Wylie; Patrick Wylie; and Christy Wylie (Phillip White) all of Louisville. One of his greatest joys was being “PaPaw” to his five grandchildren: Ayla Wylie; Chris Wylie, II; Wyatt Wylie; Joey White and Tommy White. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara Massie Wylie of Memphis, Tennessee; his brother, Douglas (Teresa) Wylie of Mountain View, Arkansas; and two sisters, Cindy Wylie and Sam Wylie both of Bartlett, Tennessee. David also leaves behind his loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Wylie.
Memorials in honor of David may be given to Massey Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
