We regretfully announce the passing of Julia Elaine Black Weeks of Madison, MS, on February 27, 2022.
Our mother, Julia, was one of the strongest and kindest women to ever walk this earth, and our family was blessed to have her to guide and nurture us. Our beloved Juju, as she was often referred to, graduated Weir High School in 1951. In 1953 she married the love of her life, Freddie L. Weeks, and, together, they had four children. Julia was a wonderful and loving mother who dedicated her life to her family.
Julia was preceded in death by her mother Nannie Lois Black, her father Julian Harvey Black, her husband Freddie L. Weeks, her brother Harvey H. Black, and her granddaughter Brittany McClelland.
She is survived by her sister Thelma Sue Black Morgan, her daughters Debbie (Dave) Kimbrough, Becky (Mike) King, Victoria Oller (Joe), and her only son Tony (Lennette) Weeks. She leaves behind six grandchildren, Kevin (Sarah) Kimbrough, Carla (Ryan) Sarkady, Kayla (Thomas) Wilson, Nicholas (Erin) Weeks, Erick J. Weeks, and Lucas McClelland. Julia was blessed with eight great-grandchildren Cooper Collins, Ethan Kimbrough, Rebecca Kimbrough, Peyton Frazier, Paxton Frazier, Jayden Weeks, Gia Weeks, and Elijah Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests at their discretion contributions be made to Beulah Cemetery Fund, 1410 Weir McCool Rd. McCool, MS 39108
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 5th at 10:30 am at Beulah Cemetery in Weir, MS to celebrate her life.
