Services for William "Bill" Crump, 82, who died Wednesday, February 8th at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 10th in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Aberdeen Chapel with Dr. Roy McHenry officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Crump was born in Monroe County to Amos Earl and Annie Abbott Crump. He lived the past 36 years in Monroe County. He was a member of River Bend Baptist Church and a retired electrician. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and has remained close to fellow members of his army unit. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He leaves his wife, Kathryn Hankins Crump of Aberdeen; a daughter, Kathy Williams Bourland and husband Kenny of Louisville, Mississippi; two sons, William "Rusty" Crump and wife Judy of Amory and James D. Crump of Aberdeen; three sisters, Evelyn Gibson of LaQuinta California, Jean Burns of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and Sarah Schroder of Desert Hot Springs, California; a brother, Robert Douglas Crump of Riggins, Idaho; seven grandchildren, Shea Bourland, Katy Bourland Murry, Ben Bourland, Jamie Crump Jeremy Crump, Matthew Crump and Sarah Crump.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Johnnie Mae Larrieu, Gertrude Piccard, Annie Kate Green; four brothers, George Crump, Richard Crump, Steve Crump and Ralph Crump.
Pallbearers will be Shea Bourland, Ben Bourland, Scott Murray, Len Crump, Ron Crump, and Lee Crump.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9th, at the funeral home.
