Mr. Charles Ray Williams, also known as Jack Gazaway, 75, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rob Faulk officiating. Interment will be in Betheden Lutheran ChurchCemetery.
Mr. Williams (Gazaway) was born March 16, 1936 to Newton and Nettie Mae King Gazaway. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Mr. Williams (Gazaway) is survived by his wife, Pauline Gazaway of Louisville, Mississippi; two daughters, Bettie Gazaway Prisock Glass and husband, Albert, and Jackie Gazaway Hodges all of Louisville. He also is survived by two sons, Billy Gazaway and wife, Judy Mae, of Philadelphia, Mississippi; and Johnny Gazaway and wife, Glenda, of Brooksville, Mississippi. Mr. Williams (Gazaway) has seven grandchildren: Amanda Barfoot, Marcus Barfoot, David Austin Prisock, Eric Hodges, Tyler Hodges, Glenn Gazaway, and Brandi Gazaway. He also has 11 great-grandchildren: Holyn Prisock, Bailey Prisock, Ethan Jones, Taylor Jones, Paden Prisock, Clay Hodges, Dayna Hodges, Faith Schillaci, Gracie Schillaci, Courtney Barfoot, and Christian Barfoot. He is preceded in death by his son, Carl Wayne Gazaway.
Pallbearers will be David Austin Prisock, Glenn Gazaway, Eric Hodges, Tyler Hodges, Jeremy Yates, T. J. Prisock, Brad Bradford, and Jonathan Stevenson.
