Richard Don Bowman, Sr., 73, formally of Ackerman, MS went to his eternal home on September 28, 2016 at his residence in Starkville after a stroke, and hard battle with cancer. Mr. Bowman was a hardworking man that loved his family. He was born on June 30, 1943 in Ackerman, MS.
Mr. Bowman was a welder by trade and rebuilt heavy equipment. He was most recently employed at Sturgis Mat in Sturgis, MS as a Scale Operator.

Miss Josie Marie Myers, 78, died Friday, September 16, 2016, at her sister’s home in the Nanih Waiya community. Miss Myers was born February 14, 1938, in Winston County, MS. She was a retired legal secretary and lived for many years in Memphis, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Macy Bell and James Merlin Myers; and two brothers, James Harold Myers and Jessie Wayne Myers.
She is survived by two sisters, Beverly Holdiness and Carolyn Burgman, both of Louisville.
