Joseph Hugh Miller, 68, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026 at his home in Noxapater, Mississippi. A private graveside service to celebrate Joseph’s life will be held at a later date.
Joseph was born December 16, 1957, to Joseph and Mary Horton Moreland in Virginia. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. Joseph enjoyed working on small engines and could often be found in his shop building go-carts. He had a love for rock and roll music and spent many hours talking on his CB radios. Above all, he dearly loved his family and the time they spent together.
Joseph is survived by his daughters, Cassey Keen of Noxapater, Mississippi, and Billi Jo Miller Perkins (Thomas), of Forest, Mississippi. One of his greatest joys was his grandchildren: Dalton Keen, Shae Keen, Damien Dudley (Bethany), and Lee Ann Davis; as well as his great-grandchildren, Ollie-Kay Dudley and Jamie Claire Woods. He is also survived by his father, Robert Caines; his sister, Karen Montoya; and his three brothers: John Moreland (Toni), Guy Moreland (Stephanie), and Kevin Moreland. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Billie Joyce Miller; two sisters, Donna Jones and Bobbie Bascomb, and his brother, Shannon Moreland.
