Barbara Fay Suttle

Barbara Fay Suttle, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at her home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 30 in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Heath Hillman officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in Louisville Memorial Cemetery.

Fay was born on May 24, 1940, Willie Edward and Tessie Maefoi Martin Baty, and lived a long, love-filled life devoted to her family, her church, and the many people blessed to know her. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, where she found strength and friendship—especially within her beloved Sunday School class. She had a warm and generous spirit that was felt by everyone around her. She loved sewing and crocheting, spent countless happy hours in her kitchen, and was known far and wide for her wonderful cooking. Her Christmas candy was a family favorite, and her homemade biscuits were truly legendary—made with the kind of love only she could give.

Nothing brought Fay more happiness than spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Fay is survived by her children: Barbara Wood (Tony), Teresa Boydston (David), and Tommy Suttle all of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “MawMaw” to her grandchildren: Charles Wood (Misty), D. K. Boydston (Bailey), and Jesse Boydston (Caroline). She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Suttle; her grandson, Thomas Windel Boydstun; her parents; her sisters, Betty Graham and Sue Harpole; and her brothers, Billy Ray Batey and Van Batey.

Serving as pallbearers are Charles Woods, D. K. Boydston, Jesse Boydston, David Boydston, and Tony Wood.
