Karie was born January 5, 1993, in Starkville, MS. She was a graduate of Florence High School, and was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. She was a veterinarian tech for Dr. Fred Nabers.
Karie fought till there was nothing left; she had a strong heart. We will carry her with us everywhere we go. We will cherish her memory with lives well lived and she will smile down on us from Heaven.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mia Shaffer.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Broadway of McCool, MS; a daughter, Brinleigh Ray and a son, Elijah Broadway, both of McCool, MS; her father, Thom Gordon (Megan Campbell) ; a brother, Blake Ray of Florence, MS; two sisters, Kali Hilton and Linzi Roberts Boyd, both of Florence, MS; and her grandparents, Rev. Dr. Owen and Marie Gordon; and Robert and Kathy Shaffer.
Pallbearers will be Josh Broadway, Kerron Spann, Michael Broadway, Blake Ray, Thom Gordon, and Joseph Broadway.
