Frances was born June 11, 1940, in Neshoba County, MS. She was a graduate of Central High School in Winston County, and attended East Central Community College. She had a varied career, having worked for Spartus Corp, Gulf Guaranty Finance and Eastover Bank, along with owning/operating several convenience stores in Louisville with her husband, Billy. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and traveling. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, former Winston County Sheriff Billy Rosamond; her parents, Sam and Odis Ford Stewart; and a sister, Dolly Burkes.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy (Brent) Frey of Louisville; a son, Jeff Rosamond of Flowood, MS; two sisters, Elewese Medders of Brandon, MS, and Jane Harrell of Morton, MS; two grandchildren, Stewart (Jeffrey) Hemphill and David Frey; and four great grandchildren, Kip and Colt Frey, and Jace and Jules Hemphill.
Pallbearers will be Trey Burkes, Shawn Medders, Harry Medders, Paul Smith, Jonathan Harrell and Aaron Robinson.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, First Methodist Church, or Blair Batson Children’s Hospital.
