David was born January 26, 1946, to Elwood Earl and Velma Kemp Smith. For 50 years, he has enjoyed driving his big truck.
David is survived by his wife Karen Mayo Smith of Noxapater. He is also survived by his two children: Teresa Smith and John David Smith, Jr., his sister Mary Edna House of Meridian, Mississippi, his brother E. T. Smith and wife Patricia, and his sister-in-law Katherine Smith all of Noxapater. David was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Brantley, Quavis, and James Earl “Buddy” Smith, and his sister Avoy Pendleton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in memory of David be given to Nowell-Massey Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
