Danny was born to Thadis “Red” and Delores Rutledge Misso, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. However, he lived and was raised in the Wahalak area of Kemper County by his dad and stepmother Earlene. He loved driving his rig and keeping up with his trucker buddies using his handle “Rooster.” Even after he could not drive anymore, he still kept up with where his buddies were headed and was so familiar with the roads he could tell them exactly where they were located if he knew their mile marker location. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching them participate in their activities.
Danny is survived by two daughters Dana Jane Scrivener and husband Clint of Louisville, and J. J. Misso of Philadelphia, Mississippi. He is also survived by three brothers: Leon Misso, Doug King and Tim Jewel as well as other family members. One of his greatest joys was being “PawPaw” to his three granddaughters Elizabeth Jane Scrivener, Presley Jane Scrivener, and Rylee Jane Scrivener. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Earlene Misso, and two brothers John Jewel and Tommy Card.
