Bobby was born May 17, 1930, to John C. and Sarah Elizabeth Power Black in Louisville. He was a 1948 graduate of Louisville High School and he attended Mississippi College and the University of Mississippi. Bobby was a deacon and member of many years of Louisville Presbyterian Church. He was a poultry farmer and the owner of Circle B Ranch.
Bobby is survived by his children: Michael L. Black and wife Debra of Austin, Texas, John W. Black and wife Kelley, Beth Edwards and husband Kerry, Julia Rhee Hankins and husband Glynn, and Stefan L. Black and wife Lori all of Louisville; grandchildren: Graham Black of Denton Texas, Calen Edwards of Jackson, Mississippi, Sam Hankins and Curry Black both of Louisville. He is also survived by several step-children: David (Lexie) Foster of Louisville, Debbie Givens of Camden, Arkansas, Donna (David) Hemphill, Diana (Lee) Brown, and DeLesa Mayo all of Louisville. He also leaves behind many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Bobby is preceded in death by his wife Janice Lynn White Black, his parents, Beverly June Black, and a step-son Danny Foster.
