Ruby was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Oktibbeha County. She enjoyed being with people; she loved life and loved her family and friends dearly. Also, she very much enjoyed her hobbies of sewing and crocheting; and as her mobility declined, she began to fill her time by creating beautiful adult coloring pictures many of which are frame worthy.
Ruby is survived by her two daughters, Vicky LaBine and husband, Mike, of Tyrone, Georgia; and Kathy Nason and husband, Luke, of Sturgis; and her son, Ricky Mott and husband, Stephen Harry, of Salem, New Hampshire. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny” to her five grandchildren: Hailey Nason, Zach Nason, Brandon LaBine, Michael LaBine, and Canon Mott. She also leaves behind to mourn her passing two sisters, Katherine Coats and Regenia Quinley and husband, Richard, all of Mobile, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glyn Mott; her son, Douglas Allen Mott; her parents; her sister, Doris Leachman; and her brother, Bryant Lee Smith.
