Maudine Livingston, age 96, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Winston Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Blanchard and Rev. Larry Odom officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville and from 1:00 p.m. continuing until service time at Antioch Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Charles Maples officiating.
Maudine, the baby of nine children, was born November 28, 1921, to William and Ollie Kugle Chancellor. She was the oldest surviving member of Antioch Baptist Church where she enjoyed being involved in Sunday School and all church activities.. She became a member at Antioch at the age 16 when she married her husband of 46 years, Early Livingston. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed sewing and gardening; but there was nothing she loved more than spending time with her family.
Maudine is survived by four daughters, Earline Tingle Edwards of Louisville; Margaret Betts and husband, Buddy, of Starkville; Sylvia Gregory and husband, Bobby Joe, of Louisville; Sharron Miles and husband, Les, also of Starkville; son, David Livingston and wife, Robin, also of Louisville; daughter-in-law, Peggy Livingston of Sturgis; and son-in-law, Bill Green of Starkville. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny” to her 15 grandchildren: Tyson Tingle; Angel Parrish (Greg); Mark Gregory (Tracy); Neil Gregory (Christal); Brad Gregory (Suzanne); Chad Miles, Brandi Avery (Clint);Nathan Green; Kelsey Green; Scottie Livingston (Sharon); Misty Lewis (Sterling); Justin Livingston; Christy Robinson; Nikki Spence; and Molly Kelley. She also leaves behind to mourn her passing 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Early Livingston; son, Jimmy Livingston; daughter, Debra Green; parents; five brothers and three sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Green, Mark Gregory, Neil Gregory, Brad Gregory, Justin Livingston, Scottie Livingston, Chad Miles, and Tyson Tingle. Memorial contributions in honor of Maudine may be given to Antioch Baptist Church or Cemetery Fund, c/o Butch Miller, 32220 Highway 25 North, Sturgis, MS 39769.
