Mrs. Quenton Coalson Clark, 91, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, December 25, 2016, at Ave Maria Home in Bartlett, TN.
She was born March 8, 1925, to Toliver and Ella Coalson. She was the youngest of 13 children. Mrs. Clark grew up in Louisville and married Dan Clark on August 23, 1944. She worked in Civil Service at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi and was a bookkeeper for Clark’s Drug Store in Ocean Springs while also raising two daughters. She was a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Clark was a member of, and taught ladies Sunday School, for both First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs and East Philadelphia Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two daughters, Gail Hackney of Memphis, TN, and Martha Snider and her husband, Merv of Nolensville, TN; two grandchildren, Cindy DeBardelaben and her husband, Jeff of Memphis, TN, and Daniel Snider of Nolensville, TN; and two great-granddaughters, Karley Horton and Riley DeBardeladen, both of Memphis, TN.
Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Dan Clark; parents, Toliver and Ella Coalson; and all of her siblings.
