Martha Ann was born August 13, 1941, to John Thomas Lewis and Annie Bell Lewis. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, and she was a homemaker and poultry farmer. She was an avid quilter and she used her varied talents making many beautiful quilts. She also loved working with her flowers especially her day lilies.
Martha Ann is survived by her daughter, Cindy Stroud and husband, Ron; and her son, Bryan Hailey and wife, Skyla, all of Preston. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny” to her four grandchildren: Courtnee Graham; Hailey Moody and wife, Megan; Allen Stroud and wife, Jessica; and Ronda Stroud; as well as to her four great-grandchildren: Jaxon Moody; Leigh Allyn Stroud; Tate Stroud; and Jase Stroud. Ms. Hailey was preceded in death by her husband, Bolyn Hailey; her parents; and her son-in-law, Terry Moody.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Bell, Wren Bell, Jr., Pete Johnson, Danny Clyde Lewis, Mike Lewis, and David Woods. Honorary pallbearers are Raymond Reed and Albert Wolfe. Memorials may be given to Hailey-Richey Cemetery Fund, c/o Gladys Jackson, 610 County Line Road, Preston, MS 39354.
