Sandra "Sandy" Gail Dawkins Nail, was born March 26, 1959. She was a resident of Oktibbeha County. She went to be with her heavenly Father at the age of 55, on November 21, 2014.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Halton Davis, Jr. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Park, Octok Road, Starkville, MS.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnie Mack Dawkins; and her brother, Johnie Russell Dawkins.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Nail; mother, Betty Jean Dawkins and brother, Jeff Dawkins and his wife Kathy Dawkins; and sister-in-law, Dana Dawkins; she is also survived by two nephews and a niece, Blake Dawkins, Tyler Dawkins and Lauren Dawkins all of Oktibbeha County, MS.
Sandy was loved and cherished by so many friends and family. She was always so upbeat and found the good in every situation. She was a true child of God. One of her favorite verses was Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you hope and a future."
Sandy spent her life always doing for others. At the age of 50 she found her soul mate and life partner. Together they were married and blissfully in love. Sandy had no children of her on, but if she was asked by anyone she would say she had one daughter "her niece" Heather Walker Wilson and two granddaughters Rylie-Claire Collins and Sadie Wilson.
She also had a great love for her animals. She always said they were her fur babies.
