Mr. Lewis F. Coffey, 79, died Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Vickers Personal Care Home in Starkville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 30th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenny Hodges officiating. Interment will be in Rocky Point Cemetery in Renfroe, MS. Visitation will be Monday from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Starkville, MS, and Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville.
Mr. Coffey was born September 4, 1933, in Leake County, Mississippi. He was an Army veteran, and received his B.S. degree in Geology from Mississippi State University. He was the former owner of Firestone and Town & Country Furniture in Louisville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Dee Mitchell Coffey.
Mr. Coffey is survived by two daughters, Catherine (Blake) Purcell of St. Petersburg, Russia, and Melinda (Rodney) Merkel of Temperance, MI; two sons, Kent (Judy) Coffey of Starkville, and Chris Coffey of Starkville; a brother, Joe Coffey of Madison, MS; 16 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Mary Patricia “Pat” Ryals, 72, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Regency Hospital in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 25th, at Porter Funeral Home , with Mr. Kevin Ryals, Rev. Phil Messner, and Rev. Bruce Case officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Porter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ryals was born October 21, 1940. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sybil and Howard Garner; and a sister, Jean Huntley.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Ryals of Brandon, MS; two daughters, Debbie (Mike) Hardwick of Oxford, MS, and Angie Ryals of Madison, MS; a brother, Jim Garner of Weir, MS; two grandchildren, Kelsey (Eddie) Malone and Mary Michael Hardwick; and one great grandchild, Branson Malone.

Mr. Robert Tilton Hemphill, 62, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Mr. Hemphill was born on April 12, 1950. He was a member of South Louisville Baptist Church and was a retired car salesman.
Mr. Hemphill is survived by his daughter, Kelli Hemphill Haynes of Louisville, Mississippi; one sister, Patricia Hemphill of Roseville, California; one brother, Ronald Hemphill and wife, Patsy; and one grandson, Branson Haynes all of Louisville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Tilton Hemphill, Jr. and Kathleen Parks Hemphill.

Glendon "Skinny" Smith
Mr. Glendon “Skinny” Smith, 89, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Mr. Smith was born on December 10, 1922. He was a member of Ellison Ridge Baptist Church and a retired supervisor with DeSoto Furniture in Canton, Mississippi. After his retirement, he worked for the City of Canton and later as a part-time guard for Georgia Pacific Corporation in Louisville. He answered the call of his country during World War II by serving in the United States Army.
Mr. Smith is survived by his daughter-in-law, Kathy Smith Carr and husband, Dewane; and his sister, Maxine Houston all of Louisville, Mississippi. He also has two grandchildren: Brian Keith Smith and wife, Cristina, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and Felecia Jackson of Southaven, Mississippi, as well as, three great-grandchildren: Cody Jackson, Kennedy Jackson, and Olivia Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Hemphill Smith; two sons, Jerry Wayne Smith and Byron Glenn Smith; and his parents, John Estol and Nettie Smith.

Mrs. Suttle was born May 17, 1926, in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. She was a homemaker, a member of Disabled American Veterans, and a member of Mashulaville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William Felix Suttle Sr., and her parents, Nannie Lou Teasley and Robert Jeremiah Johnson.
She is survived by two daughters, Nan B. Lee of Louisville, MS, and Jerry L. Browner of Florence, MS; one son, William Felix Suttle Jr. of Jackson, MS; one sister, Verlin Sutherland of Terry, MS; one brother, Ellzy Johnson of Crystal Springs, MS; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Mr. James William “Will” McLeod, 37, died Saturday, October 20, 2012, in Starkville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mr. McLeod was born August 3, 1975, in Louisville, MS. He was a 1993 graduate of Louisville High School and East Central Community College and attended Mississippi State University. He was a supervisor with Louisville Utilities. Will was an avid turkey and deer hunter. He was a member of Dancing Rabbit Hunting Club and a guide for Black Prairie Outfitters. He was an avid Ole Miss fan, and was deeply devoted to his son, Hank. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Charles “Bob” McLeod; and his brother, Hank McLeod.
He is survived by his son, Hank Coehn McLeod of Louisville; his mother, Judy Hall McLeod of Louisville; and host of cousins and friends.

Nancy Aycock McCool
Nancy Aycock McCool, age 91, entered into the joy of her Lord on Friday, October 19. Funeral services are at 3:00 pm Sunday, at the First United Methodist Church in Louisville, with visitation from 1:00-3:00 immediately prior to the service. Nancy McCool was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, David McCool, by her parents, Maude Chatham and Charles Reed Aycock, and by brothers and sisters Rodney Aycock, Charlie B. Aycock, Angie Virginia Mayeaux, and Ruby Lee Gardner. She is survived by her children, Charles E. McCool (wife, Beth) and Linda M. Waldron (husband, Ed), by five grandchildren, Joey McCool (wife, Courtney), Cara McCool, Alison Whitney (husband, Chandler), Jennifer Caperton (husband, Roger) and Mary Esther Slater (husband, Steven), and by nine great grandchildren. Nancy McCool was a native of Rose Hill and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Louisville for some 70 years, where she taught Sunday School and was a Methodist Youth Fellowship leader and later became an active member of the Ed Livingston Sunday School Class. She was also a former member of Louisville's Fortnightly Club and Women's Junior Auxiliary as well as other service clubs. For 27years, she was the financial secretary for Inter-City Federal Savings and Loan, now a part of Renasant Bank. She began her working career at the Rex Soda Shop in Louisville, followed by positions in Texas banks as she continued her education at Tyler Commercial College. During World War II, while her husband served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater, she was employed in a secretarial capacity for California winery and furrier companies. After World War II, she worked at the University of Mississippi to help put her husband through both undergraduate and graduate school in accounting. Following the completion of her husband's education, she and her husband returned to Louisville in 1948, where they began their family. Nancy McCool loved her Lord, her community, her church, and especially her family, where she was affectionately known by her grandchildren and great grandchildren as NanNan. Pallbearers are Roger Caperton, Joey McCool, Tommy Russell, Steven Slater, Chandler Whitney, and Jim Wood. He was a member of Associated Brotherhood of Christians Ministerial Association and a lifetime member of the Beaver Mountain Hunting Club.

Mr. Estes was born on December 27, 1936. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Estes was a retired electrician with McWhirter Electric and Weyerhaeuser Corporation.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jane Chamblee Estes of Louisville, Mississippi; his daughter, LeAnn Boswell and husband, Kenny, also of Louisville; and two sons, Hal Estes and wife, Susan; and Patrick Estes and wife, Michelle, all of Noxapater, Mississippi. Mr. Estes has three sisters: Maxine McCool of Noxapater, Mississippi; Jean Woodruff of Louisville; and Elsie Carter (J. C.) also of Noxapater. He also has three brothers: Dee Estes (Patti) of Prentiss, Mississippi; Bob Estes (Faith) of Noxapater; and Jerry Estes (Ilene) of Louisville. Mr. Estes is survived by seven grandchildren: Trent Boswell, Taylor Smith, Brooke Smith, Jacob Smith, Kayla Estes, Braden Estes, and Cody Estes. He is preceded in death by his parents, Littleton “Wert” Worthy and Lottie Craig Estes; and his brother, Wayne Estes.

Mrs. Inez Tabor
Mrs. Inez Tabor, 97, died Sunday, October 14, 2012, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 16th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Dowd and Rev. Leslie Mills officiating. Interment will be in Rural Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tabor was born September 14, 1915, in Winston County, MS. She was a homemaker and member of Rural Hill United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Tabor.
She is survived by a son, Harry Bernard (Vale) Tabor, Jr. of McCool, MS; 4 grandchildren, Tammie Morgan, Debbie Arnett, Tim Tabor, and Terry Hickey; and 11 great grandchildren, Phillip Watson, Laura Watson, Tyler Tabor, Teryn Tabor, Andrew Arnett, Matthew Arnett, Stephen Arnett, Amanda Arnett, J. P. Arnett, Anna Claire Morgan, and Liam Hickey

Mrs. Ophelia Holton
Mrs. Ophelia Holton, 94, died Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Neshoba General Nursing Home in Philadelphia, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 15th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Fred Frazier officiating. Interment will be in Vernon Assembly of God Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home. . Mrs. Holton was born August 1, 1918, in Winston County, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of Vernon Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Holton; her parents, Sue Robinson and James Davis Miles; two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ruth (Asa) Thomas of Noxapater, and Freda ( the late Henry Rhodes) Rhodes of Louisville; two sons, James Berlin (Shirley) Holton of Noxapater, and Jesse Gene (Emily) Holton of Madison, MS; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are T. J. Thomas, James Gully, Sam Gully, Brady Thomas, Chase Thomas, and Jerry Thomas.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
