Jack B. Pearson, age 92, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital—Oktibbeha County in Starkville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7 in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Melvin Mordecai officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Interment will immediately follow the service in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Jack was born March 3, 1933, to Harvey and Mary Bane Pearson in Winston County, Mississippi. He graduated from Louisville High School. Jack was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and retired from Taylor Machine Works. He enjoyed dancing and was an avid Ole Miss football fan.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Brenda McAdory of Louisville; and his son, Jay Pearson (Patti) of Oxford, Mississippi; and stepson, Petey Smith (Sally) of Columbia, Louisiana. One of his greatest joys was being “Paw Jack and Pap” to his grandchildren: Brad McAdory, Erica Krag (Kyle); and Paxton Pearson; step granddaughters: Mistie Newtson (Brett), Breeze Smith Wu, and Angel Wilson (Michael); as well as his great-grandchildren: Nathan McAdory, Victoria McAdory Hassell (Eli,), Cole Krag, Carter Grace Krag, and Reid Krag, Beckham Pearson and Blakely Pearson; in addition to his seven step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gale Metts Pearson; his parents; and son-in-law, Buster McAdory.
Serving as pallbearers Paul Pearson, Butch Miller, Tommy D. Rives, Leland James, Jim Morgan, and Billy Heggler. Memorial contributions in honor of Jack may be given Antioch Baptist Church, c/o Butch Miller, 32220 Highway 25 North, Sturgis, MS 39769.
