Ladd was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, on September 22, 1961, to Harlan and Linda Taylor Reynolds. He loved a wide variety of movies, music and sports. Ladd could be caught listening to an arrangement by Chet Atkins or “Take It Easy” by The Eagles. He loved sports ranging from his beloved Bulldogs all the way to the Cubs or the Saints. He was an incredible storyteller with a great memory and would always leave you laughing. He also loved to fish and spending time outdoors. His greatest memories were of his time growing up in the East Louisville Baptist church family. The accomplishment that brought him the most pride was his son, Matthew. Listening to his dad and Matthew play guitars together always filled him with joy.
Ladd is survived by his son, Matthew (Emily) Reynolds of Nashville, Tennessee; his mother, Linda Reynolds of Ethel, Mississippi; his sister, Erin (Adam) Rees of Clinton, Mississippi; and his former spouse and friend, Dawn Peterson Reynolds of Starkville. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
Ladd was preceded in death by his father, Harlan Reynolds; his brother, David Reynolds; two sisters, Melanie Lanier and Melissa Howell; and his nephew, Kyle Howell.
