Ray was born January 8, 1971, to Ronnie McBroom, Sr. and Jane Hemphill Pearson in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Custom Air. Ray thoroughly enjoyed his work and being with his work family each day. He also enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter.
Ray is survived by his two children: Hayden McBroom and Garrett McBroom both of Louisville. He also leaves behind to mourn his passing his mother Jane Pearson also of Louisville; his father Ronnie McBroom, Sr. and wife Pat of West Virginia; his sister Tammy Ottens of Hartford, New York; and two nephews Bryce and Peyton Ottens.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Joe McBroom, Joey McBroom, Jon McBroom, Bobby Smith, Coty Stokes, and Mica Stokes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in memory of Ray be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tribute Program, P. O. Box 1000 Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or to Crystal Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Amanda McCullouch, 2305 Crystal Ridge Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
