Services for Mrs. Dianne Holder Parker will be held Sunday, July 21, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Hight Assembly of God Church with Rev. Tom Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in Hight Assembly Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 5:30 until 7:30 at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and 12 noon until service time Sunday at Hight Assembly of God Church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Parker, 69, died Thursday, July 18, 2019.
She was a native and longtime resident of Noxapater. She graduated from Noxapater High School in 1968 and then from East Central Community College in 1970. After graduating ECCC, she continued her education by attending Mississippi State University and receiving her BS and MS in Special Education. She spent most of her career teaching Special Education for 37 years. The majority of those years were taught at Noxapater High School. Her love for education was evident over the many years of her teaching and working with her students, she always inspired and encouraged them with the belief that they could do anything that they set out to do. She was a humble, loving, caring, encouraging, generous, kind, devoted wife, mother and maw maw. Mrs. Parker was a faithful member of Hight Assembly of God Church in Noxapater, Ms.
Survived by her husband of 38 years, Floyd “Hank” Parker; daughters, Jennifer Vowell (Ivey), Angie Tidwell (Scott) and Amy Robinson (Jason) all of Noxapater; grandchildren, Cody Vowell (Kayely), Haley Spears (Chris), Anna Vowell, Laura Vowell, Parker Vowell, Holder Tidwell and Jacob Robinson; great-grandchild, Jake Vowell; her beloved Lab, Dixie Pearl.
Preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bobbye Holder.
